Human trafficking




At this moment in time, there are more people enslaved through human trafficking than there have been in human history. Children from vulnerable populations are coerced, manipulated, and exploited for sex. The average age children are trafficked begins as young as twelve, with 93% of victims trafficked in Canada being Canadian citizens. Victims are trafficked from one place to another, often to destinations of large entertainment and sporting events. These events ignite an increase in demand for sexual exploitation activities, and demand attention in the fight again this form of modern day slavery.
