we’re Seeing Yellow this june.
Last year on June 20, we saw the Calgary Tower and Reconciliaton Bridge lit up in yellow in support of #NotInMyCity’s movement to end sexual exploitation and trafficking here in YYC, and across Canada.
This year we are engaging local groups, businesses and individuals to help us See Yellow for the entire month to build awareness of the issue, and raise funds to support our work. Here’s how you can participate in our campaign:
if you’re an individual
Purchase and display our yellow rose - available as a decal, pin, bracelet, bottle, bandana scarf and more here.
Share photos and videos of your yellow rose with the hashtag #SeeingYellow to help us amplify the message.
Learn more about the issue, and talk to your family, friends, coworkers and community members about it.
Post this video to your social media channels to help us reach new audiences.
if you’re a group or business
Purchase our yellow rose decal and display it in your community space, office or store window to show you are an Ally.
Host an event or activity in support of #NotInMyCity - this can be a pop-up shop to help us sell merchandise, a bake sale, golf tournament, fitness class, or anything that fits your group!
Display and sell our merchandise in your office, shop, or community space for the month of June.
Share proceeds from the sale of a specific item from your business on #NotInMyCity day (June 20) or throughout the month of June/
Create a specialized, yellow #NotInMyCity item for sale in June, with proceeds supporting our cause.
Send out a newsletter encouraging others to follow us, learn more, and get involved.
Share photos and videos of your participation in this campaign with the hashtag #SeeingYellow to help us amplify the message.
